Please note that this A2068 iPad Pro 11-Inch (2nd Gen) is compatible with Gigabit-class LTE, specifically bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 46, 48, 66, and 71. It does not support bands 11, 21, 28, or 32. Although Apple’s official marketing information used this model number just about everywhere in the world except for mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, based on dozens of reader reports, it is believed that this model actually was primarily sold in North America and not in Europe.
The iPad Pro 11-Inch (Wi-Fi/Cellular US/Canada – 2nd Gen) features a fully-laminated, antireflective 11″ LED-backlit 2388×1668 “Liquid Retina” display (264 ppi, 600 nits) surrounded by a thin black bezel and packed in a slim case with rounded corners and flat sides. The back is offered in either silver or a darker “Space Gray” color.
This iPad Pro is powered by an eight-core 2.5 GHz Apple A12Z Bionic processor, an “embedded M12 coprocessor” and a “Neural Engine” for assistance with machine learning and AR. It is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of flash storage.
Other notable features include LiDAR and trackpad support via a new, optional “Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro” and third-party devices. Other features include “Face ID” authentication and support for the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen (A2051, MU8F2AM/A, US$129) that charges via a magnetic connection on the side of the device. It also has three cameras — one 7 megapixel front-facing camera and dual rear cameras (12 megapixel wide angle and 10 megapixel ultra-wide angle).
In addition to USB-C, other connectivity includes dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) with HT80 with MIMO capability and Bluetooth 5.0. It has five microphones and a four speaker system, too.
The battery life of this iPad Pro model is reportedly 10 hours “surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video” or 9 hours “surfing the web using cellular data.” This model has a software-based eSIM that can be used to switch between some carriers in addition to a nano SIM slot to use “traditional” SIM cards.
Compared to their predecessor, the iPad Pro 11-Inch (Wi-Fi/Cellular US/Global – 2nd Gen) — and its Wi-Fi-Only sibling — are the same physical size and have the same display and similar internals, but add LiDAR support, an improved rear-camera system (ultra-wide angle camera), faster Wi-Fi, better microphones, and more entry-level storage.
