Introduced to complement the “Gigabit Ethernet” Power Macintosh G4/400, G4/450 DP, and G4/500 DP — and the corresponding ill-fated ADC port — the Apple Cinema Display (ADC) features a 22-inch “letterbox” format (1600×1024) active-matrix LCD display and an integrated two port USB hub.
The Apple Cinema Display (ADC) is nearly identical to the previously released Apple Cinema Display (DVI), but it has a slightly updated “crystal clear” enclosure, uses an ADC (Apple Display Connector) — which carries analog and digital video signals, USB data, and power in the same cable — and it supports additional resolutions.
