Note that this A2926 iPad Pro M4 13-Inch is compatible with 5G NR, specifically bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n14, n20, n25, n26, n28, n29, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n71, n75, n76, n77, n78, and n79. However, it does not support 5G NR mmWave. This single model is sold everywhere in the world except for mainland China.
The iPad Pro M4 13-Inch (Wi-Fi+Cellular) features an antireflective 13-inch “Tandem OLED” backlit 2752×2064 “Ultra Retina XDR” display (264 ppi, 1000 nits max SDR and XDR full screen brightness) surrounded by a thin black bezel and packed in a slim case with rounded corners and flat sides. The back is offered in either silver or a dark “Space Black” color.
This iPad Pro is powered by a 4.4 GHz Apple M4 processor, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine; it has 120 GB/s of memory bandwidth. If configured with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, it is equipped with 9 processor cores (3 performance; 6 efficiency) and 8 GB of onboard RAM. If it is configured with 1 TB or 2 TB of storage, it is equipped with 10 processor cores (4 performance; 6 efficiency) and 16 GB of onboard RAM. Configurations with 1 TB or 2 TB of storage also can be configured with “Nano-texture glass” for reduced glare for an additional US$100 premium over the standard options.
The iPad Pro M4 13″ models have a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port, support external keyboards and trackpads most conveniently via a “Smart Connector,” and a new Apple Pencil Pro with additional sensors for enhanced interactivity (squeeze, barrel roll, and haptic feedback). It still charges via a magnetic connection on the side of the device.
The iPad Pro M4 13″ models also support LiDAR, have a landscape oriented, front-mounted 12 megapixel “TrueDepth” camera that shoots 1080p video and supports the “Center Stage” feature that automatically pans and zooms to keep subjects in frame as well as “Face ID” authentication. It has a 12 megapixel “Wide” rear camera that shoots 4K, as well.
In addition to Thunderbolt / USB 4, other connectivity includes simultaneous dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6E) with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.3. It has a “studio quality four mic array” and a four speaker system, too.
The battery life of this iPad Pro M4 model is reportedly 10 hours “surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video” or 9 hours “surfing the web using cellular data.” This model has a software-based eSIM that can be used to switch between some carriers (it does not have a physical SIM slot).
Compared to its predecessor, the iPad Pro M4 13-Inch (Wi-Fi+Cellular) — and its Wi-Fi Only and Chinese siblings — are even thinner, faster, have a higher quality display, and a landscape oriented front camera, as well as support for the more capable Apple Pencil Pro. However, the rear camera system no longer has an “Ultra Wide” camera, it has one fewer internal microphones, and the cellular capable model sold in the US no longer supports mmWave 5G (or nano SIM cards), as well.
