Please note that this A2104 iPhone Xs Max was sold only in mainland China and Hong Kong. It is compatible with FDD‑LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 32, 66, and 71 as well as TD‑LTE bands 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 46. It also uniquely supports dual hardware nano SIM cards (rather than one nano SIM and a software-based eSIM like models sold outside mainland China).
All iPhone Xs Max models — which Apple styles as both iPhone Xs Max and the uppercase iPhone XS Max — have a 3D-touch equipped 6.5″ (diagonal) OLED HDR “Super Retina” display (2688×1242, 458 ppi, 1 million:1 contrast ratio) that occupies nearly the entire front of the device. It has three cameras. On the front — tucked in the “notch” — is a “TrueDepth” camera that in addition to supporting “Advanced Face ID” identification functionality, takes 7 megapixel photos, shoots 1080p video, and has software support for Portrait mode, Portrait lighting, and more. The two rear cameras, one wide angle (f/1.8 aperture) and one telephoto (f/2.4 aperture), both have 12 megapixel sensors, support optical image stabilization, and shoot 4K photos and video. With a combination of hardware and software functionality, the rear cameras offer “advanced depth segmentation,” Smart HDR, improved bokeh quality, and dynamic retroactively adjustable depth of field.
